iHuman’s programs are vital, offering hope, promoting resilience, and providing creative outlets to at-risk youth.
For almost 30 years, iHuman Youth Society has supported Edmonton’s at-risk youth by creating a safe, non-judgmental, and welcoming environment that is grounded in trauma-informed practices. Our approach is centered on meeting young people where they are, both physically and emotionally, to build trust and foster meaningful relationships. Through wrap-around services, mentorship, and creative programming, we provide pathways for youth to express themselves, explore their potential, and find support without fear of judgment or rejection.
By focusing on community-based care and artistic expression, we offer an alternative to traditional systems. At iHuman, young people have access to mental health support, primary healthcare, skill-building opportunities, and creative outlets that empower them to take charge of their own stories. Our goal is to break down the barriers that prevent them from seeking help, providing a space where they can heal, grow, and rebuild their trust in the possibility of a brighter future. Through this inclusive, empathetic approach, iHuman helps transform the lives of at-risk youth, guiding them towards stability, resilience, and a sense of belonging within their community.
